Athens county to be re appraised this summer
Athens county will undergo a new real estate re appraisement this summer for the December tax base. Fred Cornwell, county auditor, notes the 1910 figure has governed taxes since then, with minor revisions in 1914. Sixty two or three appraisers will survey the county, township teams start Monday at 10 am, and final values will be reviewed by the board of revision and state tax commission.
