Kiwanis Club of Athens Builds Community Strength
The Athens Kiwanis club, founded nearly five years ago, quietly created the Mutual Home and Savings Association with more than $175,000 in real estate loans and organized street markers for the city. It also supports Boy Scouts camps, the East Side playground, and maintains a Kiwanis room at Sheltering Arm hospital for indigent patients.
