Carter and Ford Triumph in Athens County Ohio Primary
Carter won the county voting with Ohio at large delegates totaling 2 253 to Udall 1 939 while Udall led in the city campus results. Ford delegates held a slim overall lead over Reagan with about 800 votes separating them. Udall’s OU campus surge helped but Carter maintained county dominance and claimed the county tally.
