Wheat Prices Going Down
Arrival of new wheat in terminal markets prompted the Farm Board to withdraw support for cash wheat. Prices for several wheat classes declined 8 to 11/2 cents as the board announced no price support for the 1931 crop. Old wheat carryover is about 275 million bushels with 190 million in visible supply as congestion risks rise. Coarse grain prices show little change and demand remains slow with harvests approaching.
