Young Dentist of Athens Dies at 36
Dr. Joseph Newland Basom, Athens dentist aged 36, died after a brain hemorrhage following indigestion. Funeral services will be at the Basom home 66 West State Street with burial in West Union Street Cemetery. Former Lieutenant Governor Baril D. Bloom died at the Toledo State Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been a patient for a month and was last seen well on the lawn with his nurse before retiring for supper.
