Meigs Riding Club Sets Horse Show at County Grounds
Meigs County Rising Club hosts its annual horse show with 37 classes in two divisions on June 15 at the fairgrounds two miles north of Pomeroy on Route 33. Judges include Western, Dick Shelley, Setana, Engish, Mrs. George Seagers. Admission is 1 for adults, free for children under 12. performance entry 50 cents, halter 1 dollar.

The Middleport Business and Professional Women's Club meets Tuesday at the American Legion Hall with dinner at 6 30 p.m. A program by new officers for the year DAV Chapter No 53 of Porma- Toy will hold officer elections Thursday at the hall on Butter Nut Avenue Ninth District Commander Dale H Kirkendall will be guest speaker and dinner is at 6 30 p.m. The emergency squad answered two of three calls Friday morning including an apparent heart attack at 3 35 a.m. and assisted Everett Long Cheshire to Holzer Hospital, with the third call at 7 30 a.m. to 890 Hysell Avenue. Dr RR Pickens was summoned and the squad dismissed.

Going Away Party for Two Men in Pomeroy
