Athens woman Elizabeth Goodwin left longtime music post
Mrs Elizabeth G Goodwin died at her home 112 E State St after two months illness. She taught music at Ohio University until retirement in 1927 and led the Public School Music department. She held multiple community memberships and is survived by a large family. Funeral services Saturday at Hughes Funeral Home with burial in New Marshfield Cemetery.

Auto Crash Fatal Claims Leslie Gill and Brother
Leslie S Gill 80 of New Straitsville died Wednesday at Hocking Valley Community Hospital from injuries received May 26 in a Route 93 crash near the Perry Hocking line. His brother John Gill 70 died May 27 from the same accident. Leslie, a retired oil field worker, leaves wife Ada three sons Bert Everett Floyd a daughter Faye Stickhorn 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements and calling hours are set at Humphrey Funeral Home Shawnee with Evangelist Kenneth Morrison officiating.
