State Highway Patrol reported a two car crash on Richland Ave Tuesday. Gerald King, 54, Shade Route 1, swerved while turning into Higgins' Feed Market causing his vehicle to sideswipe Gerald J. Rice, 45, Middleport, who said King appeared to turn left. Rice was passing on the right when the collision occurred.

Tractor Unit Fire on Route W Claimed by Sparks
On Route W a gasoline powered tractor unit burned after exhaust sparks ignited a hill climb. Firefighters confined the blaze to the rear, saved tractor tires and bulldozer, and fought the flames with all water and extinguishers available. No injuries reported as gasoline tanks exploded during the blaze. Volunteers managed traffic while combating the fire.

Albany Man Hurt In Quarry Accident
