Athens Couple Involved In Bus Car Crash Near City Limits
An Athens city school bus, empty at impact, collided with a car on Athens Two Road 213 at 2 45 PM. Driver Clair W Stowbart 28 Amesville and Pamela A Burger 18 Dayton were involved. passenger Alex Smith 20 Middletown had a minor head cut. No citation issued. A second two car collision on Route 682 near Route 56 at 4 30 PM left Vitilious Foster 31 The Plains injured and Dana H Gall 17 Athens Route 5 cited for following too closely.

George J. Crawford named 1972 Fiesher Fellowship recipient in the Ohio State University College of Education. He holds a BFA and MEd from Ohio University and has served as a vocal music supervisor and principal in Marietta Ohio and as a teacher before accepting a faculty position at the University of Kansas. Two Hurt In Meigs Accident
Two persons were injured in a one car accident on Route 124 near Syracuse. Kirk Williams 20 Pomeroy drove into a hole in the roadway striking a fence then a utility pole. Ramona Williams was taken to Veterans Memorial Hospital then Holzer Medical Center. A second incident on Lebanon Two Road 143 involved Allen Boggs 20 Coolville and Oliver E Sayre Jr. 18 Long Bottom. Sayre cited for driving left of center. No injuries in that crash. A third incident involved George Stobart Jr. Racine whose truck demolished when it dropped off road. No injuries or citations reported. Logan City police cited Jimmy Lee Mount 21 for running a red light. he faces Mayor's Court June 11.
