Middleport Insurance Rates Drop
Middleport's insurance rates have been lowered after the Complete Town Report by the Ohio Inspection Bureau. Middleport is placed in Class 6, down from Class 8, due to improved fire department efficiency and water supply. The 125000 gallon elevated storage reservoir and a 500 gpm triple combination pump aid firefighting, with water mains mostly trouble free and pressures boosted by the reservoir. The bureau also recommends mapping the distribution system, new hydrants, a hose drying method, and building inspections with all members involved.
