Rocket Blows Injuring Three at Ft Sill

Three Army officers at Fort Sill Oklahoma were slightly injured when a Honest John rocket exploded on its launcher. Lt Frederick A Rarapaugh said he was placing fuses on the magnesium warhead when he heard a click and warned 25 soldiers before the warhead blew up. The rocket motor ignited and the 17 foot missile zigzagged about 400 yards on the ground.

One Dies as Fire Strikes Neil House Hotel in Columbus
