Waterworks At Racine Discussed
Citizens gathered at Racine Village Hall for a mass meeting on a proposed waterworks system funded by front footage assessment and retirement bonds. Officials said the plan could reduce fire insurance costs enough to cover the 20 year assessment, with experts noting water quality would mainly require iron removal and a modest injector system. Local opinions split along property status with supporters citing economic gain and opponents noting already existing private systems.
