Peter Klein Promoted To Navy Commander
Peter F. Klein son of Mr and Mrs O P Klein has been promoted from lieutenant commander to commander. He is at the U S Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey Calif completing his second year in the advanced air ocean environment curriculum. He recently visited the Naval Electronic Laboratory Scripps Institution of Oceanography and equipment makers in a San Diego field trip. He commanded the USS Wood County LST prior to his present assignment and is a 1949 U S Naval Academy graduate awarded the Navy commendation medal for Korea War service. Commander and Mrs Klein and their sons are vacationing in the Pacific Northwest.
