Conservancy district urged for Hocking River watershed
A local column urges forming a conservancy district to manage the Hocking River and its tributaries. It notes past efforts in Fairfield, Athens, and Perry counties and warns that wider county participation is needed for a comprehensive plan. The piece also questions admission fees at state parks and cites opposition from conservation groups and Senator Mechem.
