Ohio Kentucky gang suspected in Meigs Garage robbery attempt

Meigs County officers foiled a Monday night attempt to steal about a thousand dollars worth of merchandise from the Rawlings Garage in Middleport. Guy Taylor confessed after questioning by Pomeroy and county officers. J T Colley denies involvement. Police believe Ashland Kentucky hosts a wider underworld network and a local fence may move stolen goods. Taylor says Colley drove the getaway car and Taylor planned the plot weeks earlier including stealing a Harris auto in Mary Jane restaurant owner Walter Harris. Cop lines indicate the haul was to be sent toward Ashland to a dealer in stolen merchandise.
