Former Residents Lead New House Parent Plan
Former Athens residents Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jones have moved into a $33,000 brick home as the first house parents for the Mid-Western Children’s Home. The plan, launched in 1963, places seven homeless or orphaned children with a family, while a farm village near Cincinnati aims for 40 brick homes, a church, schools, and senior housing. The Joneses, with their son Jeffery, join a growing program sponsored by Church of Christ congregations across seven states.
