Albany residents injured in Route 50 two car crash near Athens
Three Albany area residents including twin sisters sustained minor injuries in a two car collision on Route 50 two and a half miles west of Athens. The Lieuellen sisters Jean and Joan were in the eastbound car. Jean was cited for left of center. Also cited was driver Donald Brown. In a second Tuesday morning incident on Fisher Road, Mark Wheaton and John Cochenour faced charges after a near collision caused spillages of shelled corn and Coca Cola products. WW I veterans group and auxiliary plan a 6 p.m. picnic at the Legion Home Thursday.

A woman doctor reports she was driving in Johannesburg when she saw a woman lying on the pavement near an intersection. She stopped and offered help but a policeman said it wasn't necessary and that an ambulance had already been sent. A second officer added she could not stop there.
