Nelsonville Light Plant Damaged by Lightning

Damage to a large generator at Nelsonville municipal light plant is estimated at 2000 dollars after a lightning strike. Repairs require replacing coils with parts from Cincinnati. Water shortages suspend mains cleaning while a Columbus firm renews well life for corrosion removal and drag-line equipment is sought to trench two new mains across the Hockin River. About 160 WPA workers will join the waterworks project as streets are regraded and a mowing machine is negotiated.
