Germans Build Submarines Fast to Starve Britain
The piece argues Nazi 250 ton U-boats could form the core of a total war strategy by blocking English ports and starving Britain. It notes yard capacity to sustain a submarine a day, with about 200 of 250 ton subs and 100 of larger types, aided by diesel engines and welding. England’s sea control remains strong, but a two to three month shipping halt could cripple the country.
