Jackson-Charles Rice pleads innocent in murder case
Charles Franklin Rice of Wellston pleads innocent to first degree murder in Eloise Click's death and to assault with intent to kill in Perry Doty’s wounding. Bond set at 20,000 for murder and 2,500 for assault. Rice remains jailed with attorney Bill Slavens. Covan Joseph Cogan faces aggravated assault charges in Jackson. free on 1,000 bond. Judge Mitchell indicates a September trial date.
