WPA Street Projects for Pomeroy Discussed at Meeting
A joint meeting of WPA officials, county and village officials, and Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce members discussed a possible WPA street improvement for Second St and Butternut Ave. The plan would use a 10 inch sandstone base with tar sealed brick pavement funded by WPA and an assessment on adjacent property owners. Plans call for salvaging 50 percent of existing bricks and using new bricks for the remainder, with work slated for next spring and details to be presented to the village council.
