Water Control System Nears Operation at Kro del Park
Park's 22 acre lake will see its water level lowered about six feet to allow bank cleaning and stocking. After draining, fish will be removed and the lake closed briefly before about 25 000 fish including rainbow trout and bass are stocked by the Department of Natural Resources. The project cost would exceed 8000 if contracted, aided by local businesses and the Mason County Izaak Walton League. The system includes large valves and 1000 feet of 24 inch tile to drain into Crooked Creek. The local chapter has 142 members and elected new officers for the coming year.
