Smith Brown nuptials read in Wesleyan Church
Miss 7 a daughter of Mr and Mrs Lewis Smith of Athens Route 3 became the June bride of Peek Randel Brown son of Mr and Mrs Paul E Brown of State Route 13 in a ceremony at Kenney Memorial Wesleyan Church. The Rev Clyde C Pinnell officiated. The bride wore a floor length brocade gown with heart lace and a pillbox veil. The couple will reside on Alderman Road Malfield Route 1. Public reception hosted by family followed.

Massillon Bride in Silk Organza at St Pauls Lutheran
Miss Gretenennyee deyeilt fer wed T. M. Murphy son of Mr and Mrs Carl J Murphy in a June 21 ceremony at St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church Massillon. Rev Maurice D White officiated. The gown featured a candlelight silk organza empire dress with re-embroidered lace. Bridal party included maid of honor Pam Bordac Wad sworth and bridesmaids from Massillon and Cincinnati. After the ceremony the couple planned a move to Pike County for teaching positions.

The Good Luck Garden Club of Athens Mental Health Center toured to The Plains for a joint meeting at the Methodist Church. Readings were given by Ruth Shaffer and Edward Mizicko. A power arranging demonstration by William Liggett and a red white blue table theme by Kenneth Barrows were featured with several flower displays and prizes.

The Order of Rainbow for Girls held its annual state convention at Ohio University on West Green. Delegates aged 14 to 20 attended a four day session starting Sunday with competitions in choir drill teams and secret rituals. State officers presided at formal meetings in the Convocation Center.
