Dr. Pierre Appointed At Mayo Clinic
Athens native Dr. Robert Vernon Pierre has joined the Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota staff as a consultant in clinical pathology. A graduate of Athens High School and Ohio State University, he earned his MD at Northwestern. He served in the Army Medical Corps, taught at Northwestern, and holds fellowships and memberships in major medical organizations. He and his wife Lou Ann Walker have two daughters, with relatives in Athens Chauncey.
