The Rev. Richard A. Bridges of Columbus will be installed as pastor of First Baptist Church Adams Street in Nelsonville with open ceremonies at 3 p.m. Sunday. Ministers from several towns will assist. proceeds support the church building fund.

Robert M. Delong 34 of 233 W Franklin Sr was cited for unsafe operation and leaving the scene after his car knocked over a stop sign and a Southeast Ohio Tuberculosis Hospital directional sign at Canal and Washington). He backed into Thomas Clyde Lanning’s car, damaging the bumper and transmission, then left the scene. Lanning reported Delong claimed to have fallen asleep. A hearing is set for 7 30 p m Sunday in Mayor Hoffman's court.

A vacation Bible school will convene next week at the Church of the Epiphany in Nelsonville for four age groups from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. The theme is The Bible with courses We Have a Bible Our Bible Men Who Cared in Bible Times Book of the Ages. Sister Edna Brooks of Church Army will direct, assisted by Mrs. Beckler and Rev. Sturm. Registration starts 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The Bridge Club met at Margaret Boyle's home with seven players. prizes awarded to Juliette Hatem Jean Williams and Elizabeth Miller. The Jolly Eight met at Anna Lillico's with seven players. lunch served by Mrs. Lillico. Social visits included Buckeye Trail Riding Club at the White home and several local trips to Logan Columbus and Pompano Beach. In Las Vegas Emile Griffith defends his welterweight title against Ralph Dupas in a 15 round non broadcast bout at the convention center.
