Phone Rate Adjustment Approved by Ohio Utility Panel
The Commonwealth Telephone Co of Ohio won approval to adjust rates to achieve gross revenue of 1,025,783.85. General manager Howard C. Slusher said the commission granted the order yesterday and the company filed a new tariff with the commission for approval. The service area includes Athens, Hocking, Vinton, and Meigs counties. The commission found existing rates unreasonable, requiring a tariff that would meet the company’s revenue needs based on its property value used to render service. New rates take effect with the first billing date after approval.
