In Meigs County Common Pleas Court two suits over Bedford Township oil property and titles concluded in one day. Clara Elizabeth and George Heines claimed ownership of three parcels totaling 61 and 35 acres against Avery A. Nelson and others. Heines sought to quiet Nelsons title. Attorneys settled that case without court action.

The Pomeroy Garden Club met at Mrs. C. E. W. Downie’s home with 17 members attending.
