Shade River lake project moves forward with state administrator

Governor White names a state administrator of public works to approve funding for a Shade River lake in Meigs County as part of Reinhart's 1,002,560.34 program. The plan contemplates a 134 acre lake on 1000 acres with a 78 foot dam and concrete spillway, creating a four mile backed water reach. Land purchases hinge on the projected appropriation to cover land and dam costs, with potential state highway link improvements and a 60 foot right of way already identified in Chester Township.
