Army Spec. 4 Samuel A. Eblen Jr. of Lakeview Apartments remains in serious condition in a Vietnam hospital after skull facial and pelvic fractures in a jeep overturn on June 30. His parents were told he is making normal improvement and further hospitalization is undetermined.
Orlan G. Houck, 71, of 40 Maplewooce Place, was found guilty Thursday afternoon of driving while intoxicated. He was fined $200 plus costs, received a 60 day license suspension and a seven day jail term after a hearing held Wednesday. Acting Judge Roger J. Jones deferred ruling for 24 hours.
Law suits totaling 69 950 dollars were filed in Athens County Common Pleas Court for injuries from a traffic accident on October 21 1968 off Route 691. Danny Simms and his wife Nora of Nelsonville sue Herbert Ar lage and Harry Hardesty of New Plymouth. A prior 15 000 dollar suit by Simms for his wife s injuries was listed, with additional suits seeking 29 950 for Simms injuries and 25 000 by Mrs. Simms.
Industrial Platers Inc of Columbus has filed in Athens County Common Pleas Court against Wellston Automatic Inc of Nelsonville to recover 6310 dollars of an original 10419 dollar debt. The suit claims the debt arose from services rendered from September 6, 1968 to January 17, 1969.
