Coaches May Not Earn Outside Tutoring Pay
Ohio high school coaches who are also teachers may not receive remuneration for coaching from sources other than their boards of education. The Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Control ruled the practice could lead to suspension. The ruling applies to private and parochial schools only if pay comes from the regular coaching source, and certified salaries must reflect total remuneration for the year. The board also announced invitation to education association presidents for its next meeting and named venues for the 1946 state basketball tournaments.
