Henderson Proposes Annexation Vote for Henderson
Henderson mayor Archie Henry asked the Point Pleasant City Council to include Henderson in the upcoming annexation election along with Sandy Heights Bellemeade and Burdette. The town population is 600 and incorporated since 1893. A separate city election will be required to approve annexation. The council also approved a blanket raise for city workers from 10 to 20 dollars per month and debated dog control, water line extensions to Jerico Road, and hiring a police chief.
