Council OKs Filing For Bellemeade Incorporation
Point Pleasant council authorized City Atty. Hyer to file in Circuit Court to incorporate Bellemeade with Point Pleasant. A petition by 111 residents claimed Bellemeade wants incorporation. court may take nonincorporated areas up to 25 acres without an election. Council also rehired all regular employees and set planning review for building plans. New parking meters and rates were explained. Down spouts into sewers must be removed within 90 days. Train Holds Centennial Exhibits in Point Pleasant
Mayor Virgil Siders will welcome attendees at the centennial train opening on Wednesday at 10 am. The eight-car exhibit will be on display at 16th and Ohio Street with public access from 10 am to 9 pm EDT. Mrs. Walter M. Windsor will cut the ribbon. admission is free. The Kiwanis Club sponsors the exhibit with help from the Key Club and Keyette Club, and the cars are air conditioned for extended touring hours.
