D H Moore known as Buck Moore longtime Meigs County lawman and current acting marshal in Pomeroy was shot after his 38 revolver discharged a bullet struck him in the abdomen. He died at Gallup hospital leaving two sons and a daughter. The shooting follows recent violent deaths affecting local political candidates.
Cincinnati July 9 A punctured tire yesterday led directly to the death of Daniel McHale 24 who jumped into the Little Miami river for a cool bath as companions in a car repaired the puncture. A cramp attack followed and a pul motor failed to resuscitate him.
