Headon Crash Fatal To Logan Driver
A Logan man died and two others were injured in a near head on collision on Route 216 two miles north of Headon. Charles W. Swackhamer age 27 died at Mount St. Mary Hospital from a punctured lung possible skull fracture and multiple fractures. James F. Fuchs age 20 from New Straitsville was treated for scalp lacerations and limb injuries and released. Swackhamer’s 15 year old brother Charles Mike Swackhamer was treated for a leg wound and released. Fuchs was cited for driving left of center and the crash remains under investigation. The injured were taken to hospital by local emergency squads.
