Crooksville officials say an unregistered radio station PDQ broadcasts scandal about residents. Prohibition officers receive tips on illegal liquor busts while couples and friends alter behavior amid operator's all seeing broadcasts. The case is referred to the Federal Radio Bureau for investigation.
Urbana reports farmer M H Accran, 35, was killed on his farm. His lifelong friend Ja hi Oller, 87, a boarder, fled as Mrs Keeran and Oller fired. Oller had recent mental treatment at a government hospital. Sheriff Teul BK Jones seeks the suspect.
Certificate granting Roy G Dupler life membership in the Veterans Scouts Association arrived yesterday. Dupler, scoutmaster of Athens Troop 2 Boy Scouts, has led the troop for 12 years and previously served in Logan. He works as foreman of the composing room at the Athens Messenger.

Northern and southern railroads reached a five year dispute settlement on lake cargo coal rates. A differential of 5 cents per ton was fixed, far below southern demands of 25 cents and northern seeks of 45 cents.
