Dynamiters Blast Miner's Home Endangering Seven Children
Early today the Hamley Run home of Thomas Pickett near Chauncey was dynamited at 2 am. Pickett and his six children and Mrs Lyons with her baby slept in adjacent rooms. gasoline placed atop dynamite ignited only by luck but did not start a fire. Neighbors saw four men running away. Sheriff Wingett investigated and warned of possible intent to burn the house. All occupants escaped unharmed though the blast shattered windows and damaged walls.

Four Denison men seized liquor jars in Dallas traffic
Four Denison men bought a truckload of seized half gallon fruit jars at a Prohibition office auction in Dallas. Police stopped them near University Park and found four half gallons of alcohol and two quarts of whisky among the jars. U S Marshal Sam Gross asked that the incident not be published.
