DUV Encampment Opens At Fort Hayes Hotel
The 77th Annual Encampment of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War met at the Fort Hayes Hotel in Columbus with Frost Lodge 108 opening the ceremony. Anna L. Staudt national president from Reading, Pa attended as a guest. A fife and drum choir from Mt. Vernon performed Civil War music. In Athens, the Women's Golf Association held a 9 hole tournament at the Athens Country Club with winners in Classes A through D and a luncheon following play. Team play to resume next Wednesday.
