Mrs J B Downing of North Second Avenue sails for Europe on Tuesday July 11 and will be joined by Mrs Alice Selby, former Middleport resident now in Columbus. The pair will motor to Columbus Sunday and after touring the continent plan to visit Scotland to see Mrs Downing’s father Mr McDonald’s former home before returning September 1.
