Middleport Council Votes for Outside Audit of Village Finances
Middleport council members, in a July meeting with all but two officers present, voted to request a formal audit of village books by the Bureau of Supervisors of Public Prices. They cited lost fees to the mayor and police while noting the June receipts totaled 433.70 with various costs subtracted. The council discussed using local ordinances for cases and directed funds be recorded in the village treasury.
