Bishop Class Has Homecoming
The Bishop Class of Central Avenue Church held its annual homecoming on Wednesday evening June 28 with Mrs. Zoa Beebe presiding as president. Seventeen former members, 39 present members, and 17 visitors attended. welcome was given by Mrs. Kate Jones and a reply from Mrs. Belle Bishop. Miss Lawrence, Miss Margie Harvey, the Misses Dona Lee and Wanda Townsend, and Jo Ann Campbell at the piano sang duets. Lenna Tribe and Miss Margaret Hutchins draped the charter for three members who died in the past year. Out of town guests included Mrs. Belle Bishop of Lancaster, Mrs. Ruby Day of Columbus, Mrs. Grace Beckett of Bloomingburg, Mrs. Naomi Radford of Pleasantville, Mrs. Ida Reed of Columbus, and Mrs. Eugenia Brown Moore of Chillicothe. Afterward the group enjoyed ice cream and cake in the church basement.
