July Vehicle Checks to Be Conducted Across Three Counties
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with Gallia Meigs and Jackson counties authorities, announces July vehicle safety checks in the district. Chief Chester Leaper, six patrolmen, and two sheriff deputies Mort Dickey and Jim Mills will inspect brakes, wipers, lights, steering, horn, mirrors, glass, and other defect items starting 1 p.m. Thursday on Route 7 near Island View Inn. Drivers’ licenses are checked first and eligible stickers are issued for passing vehicles. The Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police cooperates in this safety drive.
