Miles H. Howe Named to Nelsonville Civil Service Panel
Miles H. Howe of Nelsonville was appointed by Mayor C. G. Dew as a Republican member of the City Civil Service Commission to fill the unexpired term of the late Alex Nelson. Dew had earlier appointed Hazel Coon, but that action was withdrawn to maintain balance with Dow Bowers’ death leaving one vacancy. O. T. Millholland remains the third member of the commission.
