The Bureau of Agricultural Economics projects demand for beef cattle to rise in the coming year while urging cautious expansion in sheep dairy cattle hogs and fruit. Wheat supply and demand both globally may improve for marketing the U S crop with lower corn feeding needs and possibly lower prices than 1927 28.
Mrs. Matilda Wilson, 82, died of pneumonia Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. Crane on Poplar Street where she had resided. Funeral services are set for 3:30 Tuesday at Stout's Chapel with Rev. G W Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. She leaves a daughter Mrs. Charles Hayden of Ithaca New York and a son Sam of Canton. Another daughter Mrs Earl Scott of Toledo died and was buried here two months ago.
Columbus report says the Cooper administration promised immediate and vigorous action to urge development of the institution for feeble minded at Apple Creek in Wayne County.
In Elyria on January 28 the first Mrs. Albert Klues of Amherst becomes the third Mrs. Albert Klues and her first husband is now her fourth. The couple wed a second time by Justice J B George who said no instructions were needed as they claimed full knowledge of the proceedings.
Bellevue, Jan. 28. Edward Butler of Cleveland, driver of the Greyhound bus in a crash that killed 19, is unaware more than six died. He is in good physical condition but suffering melancholia as doctors report. He questions nurses and his wife about the toll after being told two more bodies were found.

Committees will begin reviewing pending measures as the total bills rise toward 300. Governors Cooper expected to sign a 6 million emergency highway appropriation bill as leaders weigh new House rules and the Bender insurance tax cut bill.

Prosecutors planned to seek a first degree murder warrant and investigators sought the .22 caliber rifle used in the crime.
Martha Lantz Burroughs 85 widow of Charles W. Burroughs died at 7 40 Sunday night at her daughter Mrs Patrick Ginley Euclid Avenue Athens from paralysis. She leaves two sons and three daughters. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Ebenezer Church near McArthur.
Colesburg Iowa reports a bobsled with food and medical supplies arriving after a 21 hour chase through ice and snow. 350 villagers faced critical shortages as blizzard dumps 10 to 15 foot drifts, with five sick moved to Dubuque and the mayor warning of further suffering if roads remain blocked.
Buckley the Ohio state treasurer faced a federal trial on charges of conspiracy to violate prohibition laws and attempted bribery. Co defendants include Cincinnati attorney John Schrimpner and Cincinnati brewmeister Joseph Sperber. Sperber pleads guilty to other counts. sentences for Schrimpner and Sperber deferred. Sperber still faces a perjury charge.
Abner Phillips faced three indictments from January for unlawful possession and use of explosives and rioting with one additional rioting charge in Chauncey. Prosecutors dropped two Sand Ridge dynamiting indictments after deeming Phillips innocent.
Nelsonville report says John B. Hanning 75 a pioneer railroad conductor with the Hocking Valley Railroad died at his home after a heart attack. He served 55 years in the same railroad, retired five years ago, and leaves two daughters Maude Smith and Lena White of Nelsonville and a son Carl Hanning of Columbus. Funeral arrangements pending.
A jury to try State Treasurer Bert B. Buckley on charges of conspiring to offer a bribe was completed at 11:15 a.m. today. Co. D Brandenberry of Coolville Athens County was excused after stating he attended a recent meeting where a man had smallpox.
The Athens area faced hazardous driving as early Sunday snowfall packed on roads causing many auto incidents. Spectators watched a chaotic street scene as drivers slid, bumped curbs, and some cars went into ditches or over embankments while city crews spread cinders to reduce danger.
Kingston Pocahontas Mine No 5 in West Virginia exploded early Saturday killing 14 miners. Rescue crews bored through the mountain to recover bodies, initial estimates had 18 dead but four men checked in. Coroner's jury and inquest set for Friday as families await funeral plans.
Federal agents raided offices and arrested ten men in Cleveland on January 28. They seized $60,000 worth of wines and liquors from three warehouses, one government bounded storage site. The operation involved Atlantic shipped labels and genuine first quality liquor, sold uncut and unadulterated.
At about 5 pm a left turn from a driveway on the Athens Pomery Road caused a touring car driven by Len Cunningham of Mechanicsburg to strike a sedan carrying five unidentified people from Glouster. Both cars rolled over. three sedan occupants suffered minor injuries including a broken rib and a chin wound. Damages to both cars were noted with no repair cost given. The collision occurred one mile from Athens.
Paris reports the birth of a son to the former Maharajah of Indore and his wife Miss Nancy Miller of Seattle. The announcement came today in Paris.
