Twenty four Athens County Selective Board No. 2 inductees after a January 7 examination at Clarksburg depart Nelsonville for Fort Hayes Columbus. Merritt W. Herron will lead the contingent with Donald Yuenger Kentner Marvin Young Philip Cain Vernon Drake and others receiving New Testaments and a gift package from the Selectees Honor Committee before leaving the American Legion building for the reception center.

Mrs Jennie McManaway aged 73 a resident of Nelsonville died Wednesday at her home. She was widow of Homer McManaway and had lived in the area many years. Final arrangements are not yet announced.

School Nurse Reports On Activities For 1943 44
Tessie Cavanaugh school nurse and home visitor filed a report on health and immunization programs for the first half of 1943 44. It notes widespread skin disease among Neville school children and shows vision corrections for 32 cases. One hundred thirteen seven first aid treatments were given, 239 visits made, and 195 truancy tails recorded with 67 pupils absent for personal reasons and 78 investigations into work certificates.

Ladies Aid Meets GLOUSTER at Trimble Methodist Church
The Trimble Methodist Ladies Aid met at the home of Mrs Mire Mario Anuatr Delbert Malone Wednesday evening. Hospitalized president Grace Sayre underwent major surgery Monday. Officers elected were Grace Sayre president Sadie Morrison treasurer Barbara Lowery secretary and Mr Morrison vice president. Lunch was served to nine members and one guest. The next meeting will be at Sadie Morrison's home. Chauncey Dovery Blue Devils will play Jacksonville Trimble basketball Friday January 28 at 7 pm.
