Logan Council Considers Two Taxi Franchise Proposals
Logan City Council heard two taxi service proposals from Earle Timberlake and Heskell Wagoner after no decision at the public hearing. Both seek a franchise with one service only, differing mainly in hours and Sunday operation. Timberlake would run 6 am to 9 pm with no Sunday service. Wagoner would operate 5 am to 11 pm plus Sunday hours.

Logan City Council received auditor Virginia Gano’s report showing 1972 meter revenue at $15,679.50, below the 1955–1963 average of about $24,000 and the 1964–1972 average just over $18,000. The year did rise $1,734.50 over 1971, while new meters were bought in 1970 for $2,980.62 and little maintenance has been spent in three years.
