Dog Owners Dee Rush For Licenses
Widespread publicity that Vinton county dog warden Harve Newman would file charges against residents who did not buy 1967 dog tags prompted a rush to the auditor's office. Auditor Glenn L. Peters reported selling 1550 tags on hand plus 50 blanks and ordering 300 more, with clerks accepting payments and issuing receipts.
