Dow and His Outfit in Burma Jungle Life
Major Cummings praises Major Grones and his outfit. Dow can speak Kachin well and is learning Burmese as they survive months in the jungle with drops of mail and supplies by plane when located. They subsist on rice, wild sweet potatoes, bananas, and jungle fruits during long periods without outside aid.
