Logan Man Resigns From Hocking County Selective Service Board
George E Carr submitted his resignation as member of the Hocking County Selective Service Board last Friday and the State Headquarters in Columbus notified Wednesday that it has been accepted and sent to federal authorities in Washington. He is the third member to resign. remaining are David Thorne and Virgil Durant with replacements suggested by a committee led by Judge Henderson. Also noted is National Public Health Nursing Day with Surgeon General Thomas Parran urging emphasis on public health nurses, about 25,000 employed in the United States and 40,000 more needed.
