Logan Zoning Hears Rezoning for East End Shopping Center
Logan Zoning Commission met Monday to discuss changing land from M 1 to B 1 for a proposed East End shopping center. Developers Dougherty and Berry outlined plans for a supermarket and general store with 627 parking spaces, with traffic and surface water runoff cited as engineering concerns. Residents opposed Arlington Avenue access due to lack of sidewalks and insufficient width. Officials expect a 1964 zoning amendment, three readings, and a two week delay before council action.
