Foul Night At Charity Line Ends Ohio Upset Bid

Ohio University fell 80-72 to Loyola of Chicago in Grover Center as a foul night at the line cost the Bobcats a potential upset. Ohio, led by bench scoring and a late rally, could not overcome Loyola’s 16-0 start and controlled play by Ramblers star Jerry Harkness. Ohio’s shooting sank to 16 of 82 from the field with 16 turnovers, while Loyola shot 32 of 76 and edged home with key late free throws. The Bobcats, now 16-0 Loyola, will next meet Kent State in MAC play.
